Military personnel aged 18-24 will be able to study at universities during service – DM
As reported by Ukrinform, this was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov on Facebook.
“Military personnel will be able to receive higher education without interrupting their military service,” he noted.
According to Umerov, the Ministry of Defense has developed amendments to the Regulation on the procedure for military service, which allow contract servicemen and conscripts aged 18 to 24 to study at higher educational institutions during their service.
To do this, they will need permission from the unit commander or higher command, Umerov specified. The decision will be formalized by a corresponding order.
The Minister emphasized that this is especially relevant for those who enter service under the “Contract 18-24” program. Such servicemen must not only fulfill their duties, but also develop professional skills, preparing for a future career – both in the army and in civilian life.
