Norway to allocate 264 million euros for humanitarian aid to Ukraine
This information is contained in a statement by the Norwegian government, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Russia's attacks on civilian infrastructure, power grids, health facilities, educational institutions and homes continue unabated, and every day more Ukrainians are forced to evacuate or flee their homes. While international humanitarian funding for Ukraine is decreasing, Norway will continue to be a reliable donor in efforts to protect civilians and save lives,” said Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide.
This support is part of the NOK 12.5 billion (EUR 1.1 billion) that Norway is allocating for civilian aid to Ukraine and Moldova in 2025.

Funding will be channelled through reputable humanitarian organisations such as the UN, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and Norwegian and international NGOs.
Priority will be given to providing protection and humanitarian assistance in the form of shelter, food, water and sanitation, electricity and heating, education, health care and psychosocial support to millions of displaced persons and other vulnerable Ukrainians. Funds will also be directed towards combating sexual violence and demining.
Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide and Minister of Labour and Social Inclusion Tonje Brenna visited Kyiv on Wednesday, March 26. They met with Ukrainian officials and travelled to Kharkiv.
