Weather for the weekend of March 15-16 for Kyiv and the region

A new air mass of Arctic origin will arrive in Ukraine over the weekend. Therefore, the weather will change in part of the country: a drop in temperature is expected, and in Kyiv over the weekend there is a possibility of light rain and a significant drop in temperature.

This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko.

On March 15-16, an active atmospheric front will cause rain in the northern half of the region, turning into snow. Temporary snow cover, 3-10 cm high, wet snow, ice, and icy roads are expected.

There is a chance of light rain in the capital on Saturday, March 15. The air temperature will rise to +5…+7 degrees.

No significant precipitation is expected in Kyiv on Sunday, March 16. The thermometer will fluctuate around +2…+5 degrees.

The weather forecaster also warned of a sharp cold snap in Ukraine starting March 17. According to her, the entire next working week in Ukraine will be cold, with “minus” at night and small “pluses” during the day. It will start to warm up at the end of next week, closer to March 22-23.

On March 17-19, due to the invasion of Arctic air from the north, the temperature will drop to 1-6°C at night and 0-5°C during the day.
