The number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases worldwide has increased to 1,484,811.

The data as of 05:33 a.m. local time on April 9 was provided by the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The top five countries with the highest number of confirmed cases were the United States with 432,132 cases, Spain with 148,220, Italy with 139,422, Germany with 113,296, and France with 83,080.

The total deaths stood at 88,538. The highest death tolls were reported in Italy (17,669 people), the United States (14,817), Spain (14,792), France (10,869), the United Kingdom (7,097), and Iran (3,993).

Some 329,876 COVID-19 patients have already recovered.

As many as 184 countries have been affected by the virus.
