Number of confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide exceeds two million people

The global death toll is 128,071 people.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide was 2,000,984 people as of 17:10 Kyiv time on April 15.

Most cases were recorded in the United States (609,696), according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The second and third places belong to Spain (177,633) and Italy (162,488).

The top five also include Germany (132,321) and France (131,362).

About a quarter of the total number of the infected – 501,206 people – have recovered, but 128,071 coronavirus patients have died.

In Ukraine, there were 3,764 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of April 15. Of them, 108 have died, 143 have recovered. Some 392 new cases were recorded in the past day.
