Apartment rental is getting cheaper in Kyiv: what is the cost of housing in March

Over the past six months, the price of housing in Kyiv has fallen by more than a quarter. Since September 2024, apartment prices in the capital have decreased by 26.2%, falling from UAH 24,396 to UAH 18,000.

According to the portal, over the year the price of housing rental increased by 13.3% – from UAH 15,882 to UAH 18,000.

Apartment price statistics broken down by district and number of rooms are as follows. The average cost of renting a one-room apartment in Kyiv is UAH 16,500. The highest housing prices are traditionally in Pechersk district — UAH 33,600, in Shevchenkivskyi — UAH 24,000, and in Holosiivskyi — UAH 18,500. The cheapest options can be found in Desnyanskyi district, where the price starts at UAH 9,000, as well as in Dniprovskyi and Svyatoshynskyi districts — UAH 13,500 each.

Prices for two-room apartments in the capital vary on average from 25,000 UAH. In prestigious areas such as Pechersk, renting a “two-room apartment” can cost 42,000 UAH, in Shevchenkivske – 31,500 UAH, and in Holosiivske – 29,400 UAH. In contrast, in Desnyanskyi district you can rent such an apartment for only 11,000 UAH, in Svyatoshynskyi – for 15,300 UAH, and in Dniprovske – for 16,000 UAH.

The average cost of renting a three-room apartment is currently 41,900 UAH per month. The highest prices for three-room apartments are in Pechersk district — 67,200 UAH, in Shevchenkivskyi — 46,200 UAH, in Holosiivskyi — 35,700 UAH. The cheapest places to rent such an apartment are in Desnianskyi (14,000 UAH), Svyatoshynskyi (18,500 UAH), and Darnytskyi (21,000 UAH) districts.
