The World Bank has announced a new $750 million aid package for Ukraine, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported.
"The funds will be provided within the framework of the Sustainable Urban and Regional Development Program (SURGE), aimed at supporting institutional reforms necessary for joining the European Union. Part of this amount will be allocated from the ADVANCE Ukraine fund, supported by the government of Japan," Shmyhal wrote on Telegram.
According to him, the implementation of the program will help strengthen the work of state institutions in the conditions of war, provide key public services to citizens in full.
"The reforms within the framework of the project are aimed at improving the efficiency of public investment and public finance management. If necessary, funding can be increased," the prime minister added.
