The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has increased funding for the government program "Support for Domestic Demand for Ukrainian Goods and Services" by approximately UAH 3.86 billion. The funds will be allocated as part of a one-time "Winter Support" aid package under the nationwide economic initiative "Made in Ukraine."
According to Taras Melnychuk, a Cabinet representative in the Verkhovna Rada, the decision was made during a government meeting on Tuesday.
Melnychuk explained that the additional funds were secured by revising the overall budget allocations designated for the Ministry of Economy in 2024 under the state budget's special fund.
The reallocations include UAH 99.83 million from the program for partial compensation for the cost of domestically produced agricultural machinery and equipment, UAH 1.763 billion from the program supporting investment projects with significant investments, and UAH 2 billion from the program for reimbursing expenses on humanitarian demining of agricultural lands. These funds will be redirected to address winter-related needs of Ukrainian citizens.
