The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the allocation of a 100 million euro loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) under the Ukraine Facility mechanism to restore water supply and sewerage systems, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced.
“The third government decision today is focused on the restoration of water supply and sewerage infrastructure. Our needs for renewal in this sector exceed $11 billion. We have received 100 million euros from the European Investment Bank under the Ukraine Facility mechanism,” Shmyhal noted at a government meeting on Tuesday.
According to him, these funds will be used to modernize water supply and sewerage systems to bring them into line with modern standards.
