Ukrainian and EU delegations begin large-scale discussions on free movement of goods

Over the next four days in Brussels, delegations from Ukraine and the European Union will engage in detailed discussions on issues related to the free movement of goods.

This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration – Minister of Justice of Ukraine Gagi Stefanishyna, as reported by Ukrinform.

“Following the preliminary meeting, I confirmed Ukraine's readiness for accelerated integration, based on the fulfillment of commitments and the signing of the ACAA. Free movement of goods is not only fundamental to our accession to the EU, but also an important component of Ukraine's resilience,” she wrote.

She added that over the past ten years, since the signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, significant progress has been made in adapting EU standards and norms.

“This work continues to be a priority for Ukraine,” Stefanishyna noted.

As reported by Ukrinform, the European Commission plans to discuss three clusters as part of Ukraine's accession talks during Panda's presidency in the first half of 2025: “Fundamentals”, “Internal Market” and “External Relations”.
