The World Bank says Ukraine's agricultural sector has suffered direct losses of $11.2 billion due to the war.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reports this, according to Ukrinform.
“The World Bank's calculations show that direct losses in agriculture amount to US$11.2 billion. In addition, damages of US$700 million are related to irrigation and water resources,” the report says.
According to the World Bank's latest report on damage and recovery needs, Ukraine will need US$524 billion for recovery and reconstruction over the next ten years – US$38 billion more than previously expected.

Of this amount, more than US$64 billion is needed for the restoration and revival of trade and industry, while agriculture needs more than US$55 billion.
Earlier estimates suggested that Ukraine's agricultural sector suffered over $80 billion in direct losses and damages as a result of the full-scale invasion.
