The Tax Service has disclosed the amount of military tax revenue since the beginning of the year
Ukrinform reports this, citing the State Tax Service.
During the first two months of 2025, the volume of military tax revenues amounted to UAH 22.1 billion. This is UAH 16.1 billion, or 3.7 times more than in the same period of 2024, when UAH 5.99 billion was paid.
In January-February 2025, income was distributed among taxpayer categories as follows:
A significant part — UAH 19.1 billion — came from individuals, UAH 1.36 billion was received from individual entrepreneurs using the simplified taxation system (I, II and IV groups), UAH 30.1 million — from legal entities on the simplified taxation system (Group III), UAH 273 million — from individuals based on the results of annual declarations, UAH 1.37 billion — from the placement of domestic government bonds (including individuals) and accruals for social payments. As reported, on November 28, 2024, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law (bill No. 11416d) raising taxes, including the military tax. The tax changes came into force on January 1, 2025. Among the main changes introduced by the parliament are an increase in the military tax from 1.5% to 5%, while maintaining it at 1.5% for military personnel; an increase in the tax for entrepreneurs of groups I and II; and the introduction of a tax of 1% for all forms of entrepreneurs of group III.
