Shmyhal, EBRD president discuss strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience
Shmyhal announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“The EBRD is a reliable partner of Ukraine. Last year, the Bank increased its investments in Ukraine to EUR 2.4 billion. I would like to thank Odile Renaud-Basso and the Bank's team for this,” Shmyhal said.
The Prime Minister added that the EBRD coerates with the public and private sectors. The focus of coeration is energy, infrastructure, and reforms.
“We discussed strengthening Ukraine's energy resilience. We also discussed ways in which the EBRD can support projects in this area, including by strengthening coeration with Ukrainian state-owned energy companies. We are preparing new joint projects,” Shmyhal emphasized.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the existing programs implemented by Ukraine in coeration with the bank.
“We look forward to continuing our fruitful coeration. Especially, in the field of transportation and infrastructure restoration. Our t priority here is the reconstruction of pele's homes destroyed by the constant Russian shelling,” Shmyhal emphasized.
The develment of lending programs in Ukraine was also among the tics discussed during the meeting.
Shmyhal thanked the EBRD for supporting important projects and initiatives that strengthen Ukraine's resilience in the war against the Russian aggressor.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Eurean Bank for Reconstruction and Develment handed over 600 lapts to educators in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions as part of the Device Coalition.
