Rada passes law on regulation of entrepreneurial activity, which cancels Economic Code

The Verkhovna Rada passed at the second and final reading bill No. 6013 on the specifics of regulating the entrepreneurial activity of certain types of legal entities and their associations during the transition period, which terminates the Economic Code of Ukraine and amends the Civil Code of Ukraine and other laws, the website of the Servant of the People party reported on Thursday.

As reported by MP from the Servant of the People parliamentary faction Pavlo Frolov, a 3-year transition period is introduced for the implementation of the law, during which the charters and internal regulations of enterprises are subject to being brought into compliance with this law, and are applied in the part that does not contradict this law.

"During the transition period, state and municipal non-profit enterprises change their names, respectively, to state non-profit company or municipal non-profit company, which is not considered their transformation," he explained.

Earlier, one of the initiators of the bill, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk reported that the document had undergone a number of public discussions, in particular, on the platform of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President with the participation of more than 400 representatives from all regions. According to him, the bill is aimed at bringing Ukrainian legislation into line with the requirements and standards existing in EU countries during the transition period. This is also one of the indicators of the implementation of Ukraine's plan under the Ukraine Facility program.
