Zelensky planned to talk with Witkoff and Kushner after meeting with Rubio

After today's meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the Munich Security Conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has scheduled a call with US President Donald Trump's special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Zelensky said this in response to a question from the Suspilny newspaper.

According to the president, after the meeting of the Ukrainian, American, and Russian sides on February 4-5 in Abu Dhabi (UAE) and before the next negotiations in Geneva, Switzerland, “it is important to discuss some points.”

“We have a comprehensive conversation with the Americans today. We will start with Rubio. And I think that after that we will speak separately with Witkoff and Kushner on the phone. It will be around 7:00 p.m. We specifically wanted to talk with the whole group, with everyone, so we will have one offline and online,” Zelensky added.

As of the evening of February 14, neither Kyiv nor Washington had provided details about the conversation with Witkoff and Kushner.

At the same time, President Zelensky met with US Secretary of State Rubio. They discussed the situation on the front line, Russian attacks on the energy system, and next steps in the peace talks.

It is known that the next trilateral meeting of delegations of Ukraine, the US, and Russia will take place on February 17-18 in Geneva. There, Ukraine wants to discuss an energy truce.
