The US Department of Justice is releasing more and more documents related to the case of sex offender and billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. With each “release” of such documents, more and more names of famous people who were somehow related to the case begin to appear.
However, in recent materials, names and locations related to Ukraine have attracted attention. Among them are representatives of Ukrainian politics, cities, and even Ukrainian agencies. We tell you who exactly is mentioned in Epstein's documents and what their connection is.
Ukrainian politicians in Epstein's files
On November 19, 2025, US President Donald Trump signed a law requiring the Department of Justice to release all unclassified documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
After that, the agency began to periodically release archival materials about the case. They contain hundreds of letters, thousands of photos, videos, audio, diary entries, court cases, victim testimonies, and financial documents.
Among the three million pages were the names of famous people and politicians from the United States, the United Kingdom, Venezuela, and Russia. However, names from Ukraine also appeared among them.
One of the first Ukrainians to be spotted in the recordings was Oleksandr Vilkul, the current head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council. One scan of Epstein's 2016 emails shows a request to help secure an invitation to Donald Trump's inauguration for Vilkul. The author of the letter (whose name has been withheld) describes a request from a woman from Ukraine who allegedly works for Vilkul and offers a reward for her help.
“Should I get the details or refuse? Do you even have any desire to meet them? I don't personally know Tamara (my mom's friend), and my mom hasn't seen her in years,” the sender writes.

In January 2017, Vilkul said on social media and on television that he had indeed attended events in the United States “as part of a working trip” and “at the invitation of partners.”
The most high-profile name mentioned during the declassification of the case documents was the name of US President Donald Trump, since he is currently the head of the White House. Also involved in the case is a member of the royal family – Prince Andrew, as we reported earlier. However, among the high-ranking American and British officials, the name of the second president of Ukraine – Leonid Kuchma was also mentioned.
According to documents released by the US House of Representatives Committee in November 2025, the mention of Kuchma is contained in a transcript of a conversation between one of the American lawyers. In these materials, the American lawyer reports that he and his brother represented Leonid Kuchma “as a client.”
It is about consulting Ukrainian lawyers in the case of ” Melnychenko's tapes” “Melnychenko Tapes” – conversations of the second president Leonid Kuchma secretly recorded by former major of the State Security Department Mykola Melnychenko. In one of the fragments of the recording, a person with a voice similar to Kuchma's voice gave the order to eliminate journalist Georgy Gongadze. ” and the investigation into the murder of journalist Georgy Gongadze. The documents include the name of political strategist Doug Shen, who, according to the lawyer, hired him to help the president's family with legal matters in the early 2000s.

Model agency from Ukraine
The main reason for Epstein's conviction is the accusation of sex trafficking of minors. The documents mention contacts of people connected with the modeling business who could have participated in the selection of girls for events organized by Epstein's entourage.
In particular, recently published documents mention the Ukrainian agency Linea 12, which is still operating in Kyiv. It is run by Masha Manyuk. The materials contain several letters dated October 2010. In them, she corresponds with model scout Jean-Luc Brunel, who was accused of rape and sexual harassment. In February 2022, he committed suicide in a French prison.
In a comment to TabloID, Manyuk said that she has been working in the industry for over 35 years and has personally known Brunel for 20 years, since he opened a branch of his agency “Karin” in Ukraine. She assured that she did not send her models to New York.
Manyuk explained that correspondence with foreign agencies is standard practice in the modeling business and does not mean automatic employment of models abroad. According to her, this is about initial professional contact and preliminary assessment of candidates. She then spoke about the selection mechanism itself:
“Then, in order for a girl to go somewhere, she needs to be confirmed by the so-called booking table. If this booking table is interested, we ask for a representation contract. This is the content of the letter (from Epstein's files – Ed.). I have written 50 thousand such letters in my life. To all the major modeling agencies. This is absolutely professional correspondence,” Manyuk said.

Lviv and Epstein
In total, according to the Epsfilesnexus project, Ukraine is mentioned in the materials at least 72 times. Lviv is mentioned separately on the pages of the case — more than 105 times.
The materials indicate that American financier Epstein showed an active interest in investing in Lviv real estate. In particular, the files discuss the possibility of purchasing or financing objects in the central part of the city, as well as using accounts in Lviv banking institutions for international transactions.
Epstein's connection with Lviv often went through intermediaries and specific names. The correspondence mentions a Ukrainian woman named Anastasia Siro, a graduate of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv who later studied at Columbia University. Her name is also mentioned on the website of the General Council of the Ukrainian Museum of North America. Her name appears in the context of discussions of cultural projects and social connections that Epstein tried to build to expand his influence in Eastern Europe.

It is important to note that the mere presence of a name in these documents is not evidence of a crime . A significant portion of the files are work records, contact lists, and correspondence from lawyers and lobbyists who dealt with Epstein as a financier.
What is known about Jeffrey Epstein?
American financier Jeffrey Epstein was first arrested in 2008. He was found guilty of sex crimes against minors and prostitution. After serving 13 months in prison, he signed a plea deal and was released. In 2019, Epstein was again charged with human trafficking.
After his re-arrest, the FBI found thousands of contacts in his notebook with famous people. Among them were former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, and businessman Richard Branson. This led to a wave of suspicions and accusations about possible connections between public figures and Epstein, although the fact of having contacts in itself did not mean participation in the crimes.
Epstein was arrested a second time on July 7, 2019, and on August 10, he committed suicide in prison. In December 2023, a US court ordered the release of the names of more than 170 people from his inner circle. Among those accused of having ties to Epstein is Donald Trump. American media wrote that they communicated and attended the same events in the 1990s. Trump denied these allegations and filed lawsuits against journalists. Later, he signed a law that provides for the disclosure of the so-called Epstein files – almost 100 thousand pages of materials of the US Department of Justice, collected as part of investigations into Epstein himself and his associate Gillian Maxwell.
