“We will no longer disclose data”: Macron announced the expansion of nuclear potential

French President Emmanuel Macron said he had ordered the country to increase the number of nuclear warheads and modernize its arsenal.

“I asked for an increase in the number of nuclear warheads,” the French leader said.

Macron refused to give an “exact figure” and also stressed that France would no longer publish data on the size of its nuclear arsenal.

“We will no longer report the numbers of our nuclear arsenal,” he said.

The president also emphasized the importance of modernizing strategic forces. According to him, updating and strengthening nuclear potential is a necessary step in the face of modern security challenges.
