US President Donald Trump said another large group of US warships is heading to Iran. The statement came amid ongoing anti-government protests in the country.
He stated this during a speech in Iowa on January 27.
The US President confirmed the increased military presence in the region, calling it a pressure tool to conclude a new agreement.
“Now there's another beautiful armada heading towards Iran. I hope, I really hope they make a deal. They should have done it from the beginning,” Donald Trump stressed.
During his speech, Trump first mentioned in detail the military operation “Midnight Hammer”, which took place in June 2025. According to him, then the US managed to stop Tehran's nuclear program when it was one step away from creating a bomb.
“In June, we destroyed Iran's nuclear capability in Operation Midnight Hammer. People had been waiting for this for 22 years… They were a month away from getting a nuclear weapon. We had to do it,” Trump said.
