The Council meeting was attended by numerous delegations from foreign parliaments.

On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the fourth anniversary of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, numerous delegations from foreign parliaments are present at the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada.

This became known from the broadcast of the meeting, and was also reported by the correspondent of Suspilny from the premises of the Ukrainian parliament.

Opening the meeting, Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk announced who exactly among the foreign guests were present in the session hall: representatives of the parliaments of Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia, Great Britain, Italy, France, Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Germany, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Finland, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden, and European deputies.

In addition, the meeting was attended by: Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Chairman of the Supreme Court Stanislav Kravchenko, Head of the Accounting Chamber Olga Pishchanska, Head of the State Property Fund Dmytro Natalukha, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Metropolitan Epiphany of Kyiv, as well as representatives of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations.

Everyone present in the hall stood and sang the National Anthem of Ukraine, after which Epiphanius, the Ordinary of the Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine, Vitaliy Kryvytsky, and the Senior Bishop of the Ukrainian Church of Christians of the Evangelical Faith, Anatoliy Kozachok, delivered a prayer for Ukraine's victory from the rostrum.

Also speaking from the podium was Marshal of the Polish Sejm Włodzimierz Czaszty, who said he condemned Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin and the people who “commit murders” on his orders.

“Your Excellency Rado, there can be no free Poland without a free Ukraine… I will always work for the cooperation of all the main political forces in the Polish Parliament for the sake of friendship between Poland and Ukraine. Although you know that not everyone likes it,” he said.

The Speaker of the Polish Parliament emphasized that Warsaw demands a just peace for Ukraine.

“Nothing about you without you. One of the most important security guarantees for Ukraine and its development will be its accession to the European Union. Poland supports these aspirations…”, the politician said.

After Chazhasty's speech, representatives of deputy groups and factions represented in the Rada spoke from the rostrum, after which the parliamentarians proceeded to consider the agenda.

On the morning of February 24, on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a number of leaders and high-ranking officials from European and Baltic countries arrived in Kyiv for visits. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa also arrived in the Ukrainian capital.

All of them, as well as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska, participated in a prayer service for Ukraine held in St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv.
