Colombian singer Shakira has unveiled the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, alongside Afrobeat star Burna Boy, titled Dai Dai.
The singer announced this on the social network X.
Shakira posted a minute-long video from the Maracana Stadium in Brazil to announce the track, which will be released on May 14. It also features Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
The singer named Dai Dai the anthem of this year's summer tournament in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
This is Shakira's second official anthem at the FIFA World Cup – in 2010, the singer performed Waka Waka in South Africa, according to the International Olympic Committee.
Shakira also sang an adapted version of Hips Don't Lie at the closing ceremony of the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will begin on June 11, with the final match taking place on July 19 in New York, USA. The tournament, which is held every four years, is hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
