In April 2026, oil exports of the Russian Federation decreased by 16.8%, or almost 1.8 million tons, compared to March.
This was reported by the presidential commissioner for sanctions policy, Vladyslav Vlasyuk, in a comment to Suspilny.
According to him, the most noticeable drop was recorded in the Baltic direction after increased sanctions pressure and restrictions, in particular regarding the ports of Primorsk and Ust-Luga. It is this export segment that demonstrates the most significant negative dynamics.
At the same time, Russia is compensating for these losses through other routes, in particular the Black Sea, where it is trying to increase shipments,” he noted.
According to Vlasyuk, this means that overall, sanctions pressure is yielding results and is helping to reduce oil exports from Russia.”
