Russians reduced the number of assaults on the front after Starlink shutdown — source

The Russian military has reduced the number of assaults on the front after SpaceX blocked unregistered Starlink satellite communication terminals.

A source in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed the Public about this.

Our interlocutor reported that in some areas the Russians stopped storming altogether.

Earlier, the head of the communications department of the 118th separate mechanized brigade (OMBr), Dmytro Pelykh, reported that due to the fact that unverified Starlinks were turned off on the contact line starting today, the intensity of shelling has decreased.

Starlink terminals are also being tested in Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense explained how to add terminals to the “white list” to avoid disconnection of communications and ensure stable operation of systems at the front.

And on January 29, it became known that the Ministry of Defense, together with the American company SpaceX, was already solving the problem of using Starlink satellite communication on Russian drones.

On February 1, American billionaire Elon Musk said that his company SpaceX's efforts to stop Russia's unauthorized use of Starlink “had worked.” Fedorov also confirmed the effectiveness of these steps, noting that the measures taken are “already yielding real results.”
