President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia has not yet provided an answer regarding its readiness to hold another round of peace talks, which the United States has proposed to hold next week in Miami.
He stated this while talking to reporters on February 11.
According to him, Ukraine is ready for another round of negotiations in both Miami and Abu Dhabi, but the Russian side is “hesitating” with the decision.
“The American side proposed a meeting in America next week, yes, in Miami. And we immediately confirmed it, waiting (for a response — ed.) from the Russians. So far, as I understand it, Russia is hesitating. This will again be a proposal regarding the Middle East or America. We are ready, it doesn't matter to us whether we meet in Miami or in Abu Dhabi. The main thing is that there is a result,” Zelensky said.
As a reminder, on February 11, in a comment to Bloomberg, Zelensky said that Kyiv had accepted Washington's offer to hold another round of talks between Ukrainian and American delegations in the United States next week on ending Russia's war against Ukraine. According to him, this meeting should take place on February 17 or 18.
