Russia announces drone attack: oil depot on fire in Krasnodar region

On the night of March 12, drones attacked an oil depot in the Tikhoretsk district of the Krasnodar region of Russia. The strike caused a fire.

This was reported by the Krasnodar Territory Operations Headquarters and the Astra Telegram channel.

The headquarters noted that the “fire on the territory of the oil depot” occurred due to “falling debris from a UAV.”

“There are no victims. The total area of the fire is 150 sq. m. 83 people and 26 pieces of equipment are participating in extinguishing the fire, including specialists from the Main Directorate of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory,” the report says.

At the same time, Astra notes that tanks at a local oil depot belonging to the transshipment point of LLC “Tikhoretsk-Nafta” caught fire.

Tikhoretsk Oil Terminal is one of the largest oil transshipment points in southern Russia. It is located in the Krasnodar Territory and is operated by Tikhoretsk-Nafta LLC, a subsidiary of Transneft. The facility is a large oil depot and transshipment terminal.
