
The Ukrainian tandem of Oleksiy Sereda and Mark Hrytsenko became silver medalists in the superfinal of the World Cup in diving from a 10-meter platform.
In the competitions on Friday, May 1, the “blue-yellow” scored 404.28 points for their performance. The Ukrainians lost first place only to Chinese representatives Zhenjie Zhao and Zhihao Yan.
Sereda and Hrytsenko entered the fight for medals after the third round of jumping. Before that, the Ukrainians were tied for fourth place, and after their second jump, they took fifth place.

Jumps of higher difficulty allowed Sereda and Hrytsenko to enter the top three. They received the highest points for attempts with a coefficient of 3.7 and 3.6 — in the fourth and sixth rounds, they earned 79.92 points, respectively.
The Ukrainians also showed the top result in the fifth round among all participants – 71.40 points for the reverse jump with a grouping of 3.5 turns.

For the second time in a row, Ukrainians become winners of the superfinal in the men's 10m synchronized diving. Last season, Sereda and Hrytsenko also climbed to the podium, taking third place in Beijing.
The Blue and Yellows improved their result from the first regular World Cup stage in Canada, when they placed sixth (377.19 points). Since then, Sereda and Hrytsenko have won their first medal of the season, gold, at the US Cup in April.
Ukraine won its first medal in the super final in its fourth discipline. So far, Kirill Bolyukh and Stanislav Oliferchyk have finished closest to the podium, finishing fourth in the 3-meter springboard synchronized diving.
The first day of the super final will continue at 1:30 p.m. Kyiv time with a mixed team tournament, in which Oleksiy Sereda will also compete – as part of a foursome with Bolyukh, Ksenia Bailo, and Ksenia Bochek.
