There are 9 specialized courses for Ukrainian military personnel in Poland under the leadership of international instructors from the Combined Arms Training Command (CAT-C). They are held within the framework of the European Union mission EUMAM Ukraine.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
They said that a medical course led by instructors from Belgium recently ended. Training is carried out on an ongoing basis in cooperation with foreign partners.
In addition, fire training courses are ongoing, where Ukrainian servicemen practice firing basic types of small arms from various positions, including on the move, in conditions of limited visibility, and under enemy fire.
Preparation for operations in urban areas is also underway – fighters master the tactics of assault operations in trenches and premises, clearing buildings, moving in small groups through city streets, the interaction of fire pairs, and the coordination of assault groups in a confined space.
The General Staff noted that Poland plays a key role as the education and training hub of the EUMAM Ukraine mission for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The EUMAM Ukraine mission was established in October 2022 to assist in the training of Ukrainian military personnel. The training is conducted mainly in Poland and Germany. In total, there is currently a coalition of 32 partner states that are organizationally part of two military support missions to Ukraine.
In November 2024, the EU Council extended the mission's mandate for two years, until November 15, 2026.
