Iran apologized to neighboring countries and promised to stop the strikes. Trump announced a “very strong strike” in response

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologized to Gulf states in a speech on March 7 and promised to stop strikes on neighboring states if their territories were not used to attack Tehran. In response, US President Donald Trump called Iran a “failure” and announced another “very strong strike.”

CNN writes about this.

“I personally apologize to the neighboring countries that Iran attacked. We have no intention of attacking neighboring countries. As I have said many times, they are our brothers,” Pezeshkian said.

According to him, Iran's interim three-member ruling council “informed the Armed Forces that from now on there should be no attacks on neighboring countries or missile strikes unless they want to attack us from these countries.”

“I think we need to resolve this diplomatically, not go to war and have problems with neighboring countries,” the Iranian president said.

Pezeshkian called on the Gulf countries not to become “a toy in the hands of imperialism,” warning them against attacks on Iranian territory.

It is currently unknown when Pezeshkian's promise will take effect, as after his address, aerial targets continued to be intercepted over the UAE, and sirens were heard in Bahrain, CNN adds.

US President Donald Trump responded to Pezeshkian's words by threatening Iran with another “very strong strike.” According to him, Tehran made such promises “only because of the continuous attacks by the US and Israel.”

“Iran, which is in terrible shape, has apologized and surrendered to its Middle Eastern neighbors, promising not to fire on them again. This promise was only made because of the continuous attacks by the US and Israel,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He noted that Tehran sought to take over the Middle East, but these plans were thwarted by the United States, adding that “this is the first time in thousands of years that Iran has lost” to neighboring countries.

“Iran is no longer the 'bully of the Middle East'; it is instead the 'loser of the Middle East' and will be for many more decades before it surrenders or, more likely, completely collapses! Today, Iran is being dealt a very severe blow! Because of Iran's bad behavior, the possibility of complete destruction and imminent death of territories and populations that have not been considered targets until this point is seriously considered,” the White House chief added.
