Google has added new AI capabilities to its Google Vids tool, allowing users to generate high-quality videos, create their own music, and more for free.
This is stated on the Google blog.
Google Vids is an easy-to-use video editing service that allows you to quickly create ready-made videos from your own ideas. The tool is suitable for creating educational, personal, and entertainment videos. New features include:
- creating high-quality videos for all users;
- generating your own music;
- using AI-based avatars.
Creating high-quality videos
Now anyone with a Google account can create ten free videos per month using the latest video generation model, Veo 3.1. Bring your stories to life with photos and prompts.
“It's perfect for creating an animated party flyer, a quick promo mockup, or sending a fun greeting card,” the developers write.
Own music in the video
According to the developers, thanks to the Lyria 3 and Lyria 3 Pro models, you can add music to videos. Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers can now create everything from short thirty-second clips to three-minute tracks for any taste.
AI-based avatars in video
AI avatars in Google Vids provide a unified face and voice in videos, allowing you to create content without reshoots. With Veo 3.1, users with Google AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions can:
- manage the appearance and behavior of avatars;
- place them in different scenes;
- interact with objects and backgrounds.
“It's an easy way to create engaging tutorials and outstanding social content, or bring your project to life,” Google says in a blog post.
Google Vids simplifies the entire video creation process — from idea to finished video. A new Chrome extension lets you record your screen and yourself right in your browser, without having to go to Vids, with access to familiar Recording Studio features.
Once you've finished your videos, you can publish them directly to YouTube. All files are set to “Private” by default, allowing you to review your videos before sharing them with the world.
