
On February 11, the EU Foreign Affairs Council in the field of defense will hold a meeting, during which Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov will be present.

EU ministers will discuss military assistance to Ukraine, including cooperation in the field of defense innovations. Ukrainian Defense Minister Fedorov will participate in the meeting in person.
An EU official said that since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, member states have provided Ukraine with military assistance and resources worth around €70 billion. Support will continue, and the discussion at the EU Foreign Affairs Council will focus on three areas:
- Defense Innovations. Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov will personally join the discussion to assess the situation and prospects for cooperation.
- Financing: The EU is working to finalize a €90 billion loan and to quickly deliver aid for urgent needs. Private investment and support from the European Investment Bank are being considered.
- Security guarantees: The EU plans to help modernize training centers in Western Ukraine and is discussing possibilities for monitoring a potential ceasefire.
Also during the meeting, EU ministers will discuss the security and defense prospects of the European Union for 2026.
Earlier, Mykhailo Fedorov reported that France is preparing to transfer a new batch of Mirage 2000 aircraft to Ukraine and intends to significantly accelerate the supply of air defense and long-range weapons.
