“Don't need help from anyone”: Trump reacted to the refusal of NATO allies to join the operation against Iran

American leader Donald Trump responded to the refusal of most NATO allies to participate in a military operation against the “terrorist regime of Iran in the Middle East”, noting that the United States never needed their help.

He wrote about this on his social network Truth Social.

“However, I am not surprised by their actions, because I have always considered NATO, where we spend hundreds of billions of dollars a year defending these same countries, to be a one-way street – we will defend them, but they will do nothing for us, especially in times of need,” Trump wrote.

According to him, the US destroyed the Iranian army, eliminating its navy, air force, and anti-aircraft systems, and most importantly, “virtually all the leaders disappeared, never to threaten us (the US – ed.), our allies in the Middle East, or the world again.”

Trump added that thanks to “such military success,” the United States no longer needs help from NATO countries, stressing that they “never wanted it.”

“In fact, as the President of the United States of America, the most powerful country in the world, we don't need help from anyone!” the White House chief wrote.

As a reminder, on March 14, Trump called on a number of European and Asian countries to send warships to protect shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, which is effectively blocked due to the threat of attacks from Iran.

On March 16, it became known that Spain, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the European Union refused to provide ships to unblock the Strait of Hormuz.
