About 50% of current repairs have been completed on Ukrainian highways of international importance — Svyrydenko

Prime Minister Yulia Svrydenko stated that as of April 5, about 50% of current repairs on Ukrainian highways of international importance had been completed.

She reported this on Telegram.

According to her, road works are ongoing in Ukraine on international highways and public roads.

“Almost 170 teams and over 1,500 employees work across the country every day. Since the beginning of the year, 2.7 million sq. m of damage has already been repaired. As of today, about 50% of current repairs on highways of international importance have been completed,” the head of government said.

Svyrydenko recalled that all current repair work on such routes is planned to be completed by May 1, and the main work by June 1.

The premier also added that additional measures are underway to strengthen international transport connections.

Earlier, the head of the State Agency for Infrastructure Restoration and Development of Ukraine, Serhiy Sukhomlyn, stated that approximately 50 billion hryvnias are needed for pothole and current repairs of roads of various importance. Of these, 12-14 billion are for the repair of roads of international and national importance. They will be restored as a priority.
