The new French special envoy for aid and reconstruction in Ukraine, Muriel Lacoux-Labarte, will visit Ukraine in the coming weeks.
This was announced by Nicolas Faurissier, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of France for Foreign Trade, in an interview with Ukrinform.
“France is ready, at the request of the Ukrainian authorities, to convene any extraordinary emergency meeting, as was done on January 23 (G7+ Coordination Group on Energy – ed.), in addition to regular quarterly meetings. Ms. Muriel Lacoux-Labart, the future French special envoy for aid and reconstruction in Ukraine, is already closely following this issue,” said Forissier.
The official noted that the process of her appointment is already underway, and the first visit to the Ukrainian capital should take place in the coming weeks.
Recall that since March 2023, the Special Envoy for Aid and Reconstruction of Ukraine has been Pierre Elbron, who has visited Ukraine repeatedly.
