After the severe frosts that will return to Ukraine starting Monday, there is a tendency for temperatures to increase by at least a few degrees.
This information was provided by Ivan Semilyt, a representative of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, in a comment to OBOZ.UA.
When will warming begin?
According to the forecaster, the current trend is that the noticeable frost will recede, after which the air temperature will increase slightly in Ukraine. Then, a cold snap is expected again and the temperature will drop to -25 degrees below zero.
But in the future, we do not see a certain trend until spring. However, if we look at the prospect of next week, then on February 12 this anticyclone will already depart, we have a tendency to increase the temperature by 3–6 degrees,
– he said.
Despite this trend towards partial warming, as Ivan Semilyt noted, when it comes to a forecast for a fairly long period, it may be exclusively preliminary and will require additional clarification by forecasters in the future.
“As we say, the ocean is the kitchen of the weather, and everything can change very quickly, so tomorrow we may see a different forecast. So, there are tentative trends that on February 12 we will have a retreat of severe frosts ,” he added.
What will the weather be like before such warming?

The meteorologist reported that starting Sunday, February 8, cold air will start to move in from Scandinavia again. Precipitation will stop at this time, and a field of high pressure will prevail, and noticeable frosts will return.

Forecaster Vitaliy Postrygan also warned that a new wave of frosts of Scandinavian origin will come to us from February 8 to 9. But there will be no such severe frosts, such as -29 degrees, for example.

By the way, the causes of severe and prolonged frosts are related to climatic factors. Ukraine usually experiences temperatures higher than normal, but this does not mean that such indicators will be constant.
