During his year in office, Sukharevskiy did not manage to do what he considered the basis for the normal operation of the entire direction. It was not about individual decisions, but about clear doctrinal rules for the Unmanned Systems Forces and all unmanned systems units, which should be based on a common logic, not contradict each other, not overlap in functions, and work in a clear order.

On February 10, 2024, Vadym Sukharevsky was appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the Use of Unmanned Systems, and on June 10, 2024, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces. He led the UAS from the very beginning of the creation of this branch of the military. Later, information appeared in the media that Sukharevsky could be dismissed from the post of Commander of the UAS and appointed as the commander of one of the new army corps. The General Staff then stated that his candidacy was indeed being considered, but emphasized that at that time he continued to perform the duties of Commander of the UAS Forces.
Without this, it is impossible to build a systematic approach to the means themselves, because then it is unclear who exactly should use them, how much they should cost, and in what quantity the army needs them.

After his dismissal, Sukharevskiy did not begin to evaluate the work of Robert Brovdi “Magyar”. He understands the real reasons for his resignation from the post of commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, but did not want to reveal this topic for an interview.
