The situation in the Oleksandrivka direction remains difficult, but under control. Russian troops continue assault operations, trying to advance and seize strategic positions.

At the same time, the enemy is suffering significant losses, despite partial successes on certain sections of the front. The battalion commander of the 110th separate mechanized brigade said this in an exclusive interview with Channel 24 .

What did the battalion commander say about the situation in the Oleksandrivka direction?

According to the battalion commander, fighting in the Oleksandrivka direction is ongoing, and Russian forces are trying to use any opportunity to advance. He emphasized that the situation there is currently difficult, but controlled, as the enemy is paying more attention to Hulyaipol.

Our task is to some extent to defend the Pokrovske-Gulyaipole road. But the enemy has partial successes, despite the fact that he suffers huge losses. According to the global tasks, they have access to the settlement of Ternuvat,
– the soldier noted.

Access to Ternuvaty is important for the Russians, as it will allow further advancement towards the Zaporizhia region.

The Ukrainian military explained that capturing key positions could pose a threat to important logistical routes. The enemy's global goal is to capture the entire Zaporizhzhia region.

According to the battalion commander, Russian troops actively use small infantry groups, sometimes using light equipment, motorcycles, and ATVs. The enemy uses armored vehicles much less frequently.

At the same time, weather conditions also affect the course of hostilities. Kombat noted that during fog and frost, the work of drones becomes more difficult, which the enemy uses to try to advance.

They use bad weather conditions to promote themselves. As soon as the weather conditions worsen, drones are in trouble. Unfortunately, this is technology and it has its own limitations,
– says the battalion commander.

The military calls the Oleksandrivka direction one of the most difficult on the front. In previous periods, rapid advances by Russian troops were recorded here, but later the situation was stabilized.

“Indeed, the enemy's main objective is Hulyaipole. But, in my opinion, our direction is still one of the top priorities, because the highway passes here. Whoever has logistics has quite a lot of opportunities to develop a further offensive, preparing a bridgehead,” the defender concludes.

Despite this, fighting continues today. Russian forces are trying to expand control over the territories, while the Ukrainian military is holding back the offensive and inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
