- The 66th Motorized Rifle Brigade has created a tight kill zone on its front line in the Liman direction. It is extremely difficult for the Russians to accumulate near the contact line.
- Vasyl Denisyuk, spokesman for the 66th Mstislav Khorobry Separate Brigade, spoke about the fighting in the Lyman direction.

The Liman direction remains one of the highest priorities for the Russians. They previously tried to use armored vehicles here, but have now abandoned this idea.
Vasyl Denisyuk, spokesman for the 66th Mstislav Khorobry Separate Rifle Brigade, told Channel 24 that a tight kill zone had been established in his brigade's area of responsibility. The servicemen are using drones to detect the enemy far from the line of combat contact and destroy him. The units are working to prevent the Russians from approaching the line of combat contact at all.
How did the fighting in the Limansk direction change?
According to Denisyuk, a fairly thick “green” has already appeared on the front. It has become easier for the defense forces to mask their own positions, but it is also now easier for the enemy to approach the positions directly.
Now one of the main tasks is to prevent the occupiers from replenishing resources and bringing up personnel directly on the contact line. Such accumulations are immediately attacked by drones.
The enemy does not have the opportunity to gather personnel here. Accordingly, the assault operations are not so active. But they are moving very actively. We constantly detect either individual Russians who are engaged in logistics to the front line; or enemy groups who are trying to get closer to the front line. But they do not succeed in anything,
– said the soldier.
The invaders are destroyed at a distance of 5 kilometers from the contact line. Accordingly, they are unable to accumulate and intensify assault operations. At the same time, the enemy is constantly replenishing losses on this section of the front. The Russians are throwing additional companies here.
Back in March, the enemy tried to storm with armored vehicles. All these attacks were successfully repelled. Since then, the Russians have not actually used “armor”. It has now been possible to destroy it only at storage sites.
What is the situation in the Limansk direction: see the map of hostilities
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, recently noted that the situation on the front remains difficult. Russia has intensified its offensive virtually along the entire front line. The most tense area remains the Pokrovsky direction, where about 106 thousand occupiers are concentrated.
A serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Territorial Defense Forces, Oleksandr Musienko, noted that the Russians have already begun their spring-summer offensive campaign. It is important that the Ukrainian defenders thwarted the first wave of this offensive. It was important for the enemy to break through in the Pokrovske, Zaporizhzhia and Kupyansk directions, but in fact they did not achieve any results there.
There are many Russian drones in the air.
As Denisyuk emphasized, the occupiers are constantly using FPV drones and FPV on fiber optics. They also record Molniya-2 strike drones. The Russians are attacking both positions and logistical routes.
Our drone interceptor units and electronic warfare units are working to prevent the enemy from using drones so actively. It is also important to identify and destroy the positions where enemy operators are working. This work is yielding results,
– the soldier emphasized.

The military is collecting for interceptor drones, control units, transmitters and other components to close the sky in the Lymansky direction. What is the situation in the Donetsk region?
Russia has not been able to completely capture the entire Donetsk region in more than 4 years of full-scale war. The Lyman direction is one of the most important, as it prevents the enemy from approaching Sloviansk from the north, which, together with Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, and Kostyantynivka, is actually one line of defense.
Olga Kosenko, a spokeswoman for the 56th separate motorized infantry brigade in Mariupol, told the “Army – Media of the Defense Forces of Ukraine” program that, according to intelligence data, the Russian command is setting them the task of reaching the outskirts of Kramatorsk by May 30. In reality, the enemy's advance is much slower.
Instead, the technical capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to grow. Recently, servicemen of the 1st Corps of the Azov Military District showed how they patrol the roads in Mariupol using reconnaissance systems. Drones fly 160 kilometers from the front line.
