Ukrainian soldier Oleksiy told how he caused a fatal “road accident” and he doesn't regret it at all. It's just that the occupiers became the victims.
Alexey's story was retold in the 14th Special Rifle Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great.
How did the “traffic accident” with the occupiers happen?
The defender said that the accident occurred when Russian infantry was breaking through his position to storm it.
The occupants were on a motorcycle and an ATV.
They were pressing the gas so hard that they didn't notice the obstacle on the right – my brother and I were in an ambush. The enemies couldn't break through, everyone died,
– said Alexey.
Later, he and his brothers Volodymyr, Dmytro, and Yevhen returned from combat positions. Unfortunately, Yevhen was sent to the hospital.
The fighters said that at “zero” they prepared a New Year's table, and also made household items from improvised materials, for example, a bread box and a chess board. They joked a lot, talked, and remembered their relatives.
“On one of these days, a replacement arrived at the position. A difficult return journey awaited the soldiers. After all, the time for standard solutions in such situations has long passed. Now, in order to successfully carry out a replacement at the position, one must apply creativity, ingenuity, cunning, and a broad range of thinking, and watch out for the enemy on the ground and in the sky,” the brigade noted.
Signalmen, pilots, intelligence, and officers on duty at exit points are working on the way back. Drones, artillery shells, and mines are constantly flying over the fighters.
Several times we were attacked by enemy drones – we fought back with small arms. We overcame kilometer after kilometer and, most importantly, fatigue, from which every muscle ached. Later, our comrades met us in a car. What were we thinking about? All this time we were thinking about those whom we would soon call,
