The command of the Sevastopol Air Defense Division of the enemy army in the temporarily occupied Crimea was under threat of being liberated. This is explained by the striking losses of air defense assets.

This was reported by the partisans of the “ATESH” movement.

What is known about the possible dismissal of the head of the air defense in Crimea?

According to “Ates”, due to the accumulated losses in the air defense units of Crimea, a special inspection commission was sent to Sevastopol.

This was the reason for considering the issue of changing the command structure of the 31st Air Defense Division. The partisans explained that the Sevastopol Division is part of the 4th Air Force and Air Defense Army of the Southern Military District.

The Russians from this military formation are responsible for covering the airspace over the peninsula, including the areas of Sevastopol and Dzhankoy. For this, Russian soldiers use the S-400 Triumph complexes.

Significant losses of air defense assets have recently led to a significant weakening of the defense of the Kherson region and Crimea. Moscow, apparently, recognizes this,
– specified in “ATESH”.

By the way, recently the partisans also reported that due to a shortage of personnel, Russian soldiers are digging trenches instead of resting, and if they refuse or disclose information, they are threatened with transfer to assault units.

How are the Defense Forces attacking the occupiers in Crimea?

  • The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a series of successful strikes on Russian military facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea. On the night of February 25, 2026, the S-400 “Triumph” anti-aircraft missile system and the “Pantsir” anti-aircraft missile and gun complex were destroyed.

  • Later, on March 9, Ukrainian units launched new strikes on Russian air defenses on the peninsula. Three Pantsir-S1 complexes and a mobile fire group were hit. In addition, a BK-16 landing craft and infrastructure facilities at the Kirovskoe airfield were destroyed.

  • Another series of powerful strikes was carried out by Ukrainian forces on March 5. Then, another Triumph complex was hit in Crimea, and a Russian Ka-27 helicopter was destroyed in the Black Sea.

  • According to Roman Svitan, a military expert, instructor pilot, and reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, such strikes indicate systematic preparation for larger-scale actions against Russian forces. According to him, the occupied peninsula is gradually turning into another Chornobayvka.
