Russia continues its massive attacks on Ukraine and even wants to increase their number. Despite the fact that air defenses are working hard, some hits will still be unavoidable.
This opinion was expressed to Channel 24 by the director of development of the defense enterprise, a reserve Air Force officer, Anatoly Khrapchinsky, explaining that it is worth considering the number of weapons that Russia launches. There are a lot of them.
Why will there still be arrivals?
We must understand that today Russia has made a key bet on the depletion of Ukraine's air defense. It also wants to reduce our ability to intercept targets. The Russians see that the air defense forces can cope with three to four massive attacks per month. We intercept conditionally 98%. So the enemy wants to increase the number of attacks.
There are often complaints that they shot down everything, 98% interception, but something still comes in. But the Russians launch 40 missiles, 20 missiles. This also needs to be understood. Therefore, there will still be arrivals,
– Anatoliy Khrapchinsky emphasized.
According to him, today it is worth understanding the most important thing – Russia is working to methodically exhaust our air defense. We must pay attention not even to where the enemy is hitting, but to what purpose he is doing it.
Attention! Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said that Russia is preparing for 7 massive attacks per month. He explained that a massive attack means the launch of about 400 drones and about 20 missiles. The Foreign Minister added that today the air defense mostly intercepts 90% of targets.
Russia attacked Ukraine again on April 16: the main thing
-
The central and eastern regions were hit. Unfortunately, there were hits in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa, Dnipro, Zaporizhia. Ballistics still remains Ukraine's Achilles' heel. Air defense works quite successfully with other targets.
-
Russia has changed its tactics somewhat. The invaders launched some of the missiles on the evening of April 15, and the attack itself lasted for almost a full day. The Air Force noted that the Ukrainian military is capable of intercepting ballistic missiles, but we have a critical need for missiles for Patriot systems.
-
The US president reacted to the attack. Donald Trump was restrained, but called the shelling “horrible.” He also added that he wants to resolve the situation in Ukraine, but is currently more focused on the Middle East.
