Severe frosts are not expected until the end of winter. For now, the trend towards increasing temperatures continues. And although the possibility of a cold snap should not be denied, it is unlikely to be severe.
This information was reported by Ivan Semilyt, a representative of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, during a telethon.
Will there be frost by the end of winter?
According to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, there will most likely be no sharp fluctuations in temperature towards the end of the winter period. Ivan Semilyt explained that cold snaps to minus 20 degrees and below are unlikely to return by the end of February.
Now we see that there is a tendency for the temperature values to increase. However, we still expect some certain temperature fluctuations, which may be decreases, but not as intense as in previous times. That is, there will not be such direct frosts, as down to -20 or something,
– he said.
The representative of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center added that cyclones from the southwest will bring rain and snow to Ukraine on February 14 and 15. But, according to him, there will be no strong blizzards, and precipitation will mostly be insignificant or moderate.
“But these won't be direct blizzards, there won't be a lot of precipitation accumulation , etc. Therefore, we expect precipitation, but not in significant quantities, as was the case, for example, in early January and so on,” added Ivan Semilyt.
