The ExpoElectronica 2026 exhibition was held in Moscow. It lasted from April 14 to 16 and unwittingly exposed companies that supply electronics to Russians in circumvention of sanctions.

This was reported by the private analytical intelligence company DALLAS. They indicated that the companies were Belarusian and Chinese.

Who supplies electronics to Russia to circumvent sanctions?

Interestingly, the absolute majority of the exhibition participants were from China – 376. Another 337 companies were from Russia, 7 from Belarus. In total, 719 companies were represented.

Reference. According to the Russians themselves, ExpoElectronica 2026 is the largest international electronics exhibition in Russia in terms of the number of participants and visitors. It brings together developers, manufacturers and distributors of electronics, and establishes connections between manufacturers/distributors and end users in the context of Russia's dependence on foreign electronic components. DALLAS analysts called it a gathering under one roof of hundreds of companies that violate sanctions in one way or another.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, LLC “LIFEELECTRONICS” has been sending letters to Russian defense companies with proposals for cooperation. In particular, it has been corresponding with the Pskov Plant of Long-Distance Communication Equipment, which has been under sanctions by the US, EU, Switzerland, Canada, and Japan since 2022. “LIFEELECTRONICS” supplies radio-electronic complexes to the fleet, aviation, air defense, and communications systems.

Important! According to the War&Sanctions portal, the company “LIFEELECTRONICS” is involved at least in the production of unified inter-species glide ammunition (UMPB) and is still not under any sanctions.

The Chinese company HK JDW ELECTRONIC CO., LIMITED does not even hide that it supplies Western components to the Russians, bypassing sanctions. For example, products from Siemens and Honeywell.

In general, Chinese companies act as a kind of hub that collects components from all over the world and resells them to Russia.

Also, in addition to Chinese companies, Russian electronics importers buy components from similar companies. For example, in the internal documentation of “Priborelectrokomplekt” you can find invoices for electronics from another Russian sanctions violator – the company GetChips,
– analysts explained.

Pay attention! Andriy Otchenash, an officer of the Rubizh brigade of the NGU, told Channel 24 that in March alone, the Russians used about 5,000 FPV drones. That is, the enemy launches them around the clock.

Ukrainians infiltrated the Russian “Gonets” system

  • It is called an analogue of Starlink, although it does not work as effectively yet. The occupiers have been developing it for a long time – back in 2016, the system was presented to Dmitry Medvedev, who was then the head of Russia.

  • Interestingly, cyber experts were able to penetrate the IT architecture precisely thanks to the people who were responsible for the cybersecurity of Gonts. From 2023 to 2025, hackers transferred data to the Defense Forces. Not all details are disclosed so that the Russians do not know the depth of the leak.
