Main points
- China may support Iran in the Middle East conflict while concealing its involvement.
- Iran also receives assistance from Russia, Belarus, and possibly North Korea, which allows it to resist pressure from the United States.

The US-Israeli war against Iran goes far beyond a regional conflict, as Tehran is supported by its allies, which is what allows it to contain pressure from Donald Trump.
Former Secretary of the Polish Delegation to the NATO Parliament Piotr Kulpa told Channel 24 about the role China plays in the conflict in the Middle East. At the same time, the United States is probably preparing for a war with Iran to drag on until September, as the Pentagon is planning its actions for at least 100 days.
In what ways can China support Iran in a war?
Kulpa noted that for China, which supports Iran, events in the Middle East could unfold in two scenarios:
- The US is completely subjugating Tehran, changing the regime, establishing its own, and destroying Iran as an entity.
- Iran maintains its integrity and remains a strategic ally of China, if only because it is an adversary of the United States.
After the blow that Iran received, its potential was restored very quickly. But this would not have happened, probably, without the support of China. Iran also receives assistance from Russia in the form of equipment for the “Shaheeds”, and there is evidence of this,
– he remarked.
Moreover, Iran receives support from Belarus, as a lot of transport from Minsk was sent to Tehran, and this channel was fully operational.
Pay attention! Volodymyr Zelensky believes that Russia could help Iran more in the war, but does not have the extra resources for this. At the same time, Moscow provides some support to Tehran – Russian-made components were found in Iranian drones. The Ukrainian leader also believes that Russia can provide Iran with air defense systems, of which it has enough.
It cannot be ruled out that North Korea will also provide support to Iran.
Beijing will do everything to hide its involvement in helping Tehran. It has such opportunities. It may have a channel, for example, through Afghanistan, which borders China and Iran. And a strike from Pakistan on Afghanistan may be related to this situation,
– suggested Piotr Kulpa.
If the situation in the Middle East changes rapidly, China will continue to support its proxies. Just as it keeps North Korea and Russia afloat, which, according to the former secretary of the Polish delegation to the NATO parliament, would not have the opportunity to wage war without China's support and would collapse. All this applies to Iran, so the conflict in the Middle East is precisely geopolitical.
How can China influence the war in the Middle East?
-
Political scientist Igor Chalenko is confident that the conflict between the US and Iran is approaching the point where it could escalate into World War III if China “fits into this situation.” If Beijing stays on the sidelines, the conflict will be long-lasting, and this will have significant consequences for the oil market.

According to political scientist Oleg Posternak, Donald Trump needs to implement three factors to weaken China. This is Venezuela, which the US president has already subdued, this is Iran, which is currently under American pressure, and this is Russia, the issue of which he is trying to close by April.

Also, the president of the NGO “Liberal Democratic League of Ukraine” Artur Kharitonov noted that China has very limited leverage over the situation with Iran. If the regime in Iran collapses, it will be a powerful blow to Beijing. Then the US will be able to control the vast majority of energy resources in the world.
