The hearing raised the issue of a possible change in the preventive measure, but the court rejected the relevant motion. It also mentioned Boris Yermak, the suspect's father, who allegedly traveled to Russia.
A journalist in the courtroom asked Yermak whether he had actually visited St. Petersburg.
How did Yermak comment on the rumors about his father?
First of all, the former head of the OP noted that his father is already 81 years old. According to Yermak, he is “a very respected, honest and patriotic person.”

Yermak also clarified that his father spent his entire life in Kyiv and loves his country. However, such rumors, as the current suspect in the case of illegal construction and money laundering emphasized, are part of a campaign against his family.
It is also worth noting that Andriy Yermak mentioned his brother, who is currently supposedly at the front. Yermak said that “for some reason no one writes about this.”
By the way, after his dismissal from the post of head of the President's Office in November 2025, Yermak stated that he planned to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but this never happened. In January 2026, it became known that he had restored his lawyer's license. Marta Bohuslavets, the head of the Anti-Corruption Center “Border”, suggested in a comment to Channel 24 that this may be related to preparation for possible investigative actions and potential protection in the event of searches.
What is known about Yermak's brother?
Denys Yermak is the younger brother of former head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak. It is known that he participated in the ATO, but found himself at the center of a scandal after the publication of the so-called “Leros tapes”, which allegedly involved his participation in promoting the right people to government positions.
In March 2022, Andriy Yermak published a photo of his brother, reporting that he had joined the territorial defense units as a volunteer. The current head of the OP, Kyrylo Budanov, also noted that he had seen Denys Yermak during the defense of Kyiv, in particular in Irpen, where he was with a sniper weapon.
In addition, in June 2025, it was reported that the SBU had foiled Russian special services' plans to assassinate Denis Yermak. It is noted that he serves in the Foreign Legion of the GUR, performs combat missions, works with drones, and is near the contact line.
How are the Yermaks connected to Russia?
Journalists from “Scheme” published an investigation that revealed the facts that Borys Yermak allegedly visited Russia after Volodymyr Zelensky came to power – in the fall of 2019, in transit through Belarus.
It is also reported that Andriy Yermak's mother, a native of St. Petersburg, repeatedly traveled to the aggressor country in 2018-2019. Boris Yermak's name appears in the materials of the NABU case “Midas”, which concerns the alleged legalization of funds in the construction of elite real estate near Kyiv.
It is important that investigators have previously pointed to the business ties of the Yermak family with Russian Rahamim Emanuilov. In particular, they are talking about joint participation in the companies “Interpromfinance Ukraine”, “M.E.P.” and “Media Group of European Partnership”. Boris Yermak managed one of these firms for many years.
In response, Andriy Yermak's representatives stated that these ties were old, formed before the 2000s, when cooperation with Russian business was widespread, and the companies themselves were almost not active.
