On the night of May 18, enemy military forces attacked Ukraine with strike drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. Despite the effective work of air defense, hits were recorded at 34 locations.

What are the details of the attack on Ukraine?
From 6:00 PM on May 17 until the morning of May 18, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with strike drones and ground-based missiles.
Among the main targets are the Dnipro region, Odessa, Chernihiv, and Zaporizhia.
In total, Russia released:
- 14 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles from the Rostov region of Russia and the Crimean Autonomous Republic,
- 8 Iskander-K cruise missiles from the Crimean TOT,
- 524 attack UAVs of the “Shahed”, “Gerbera”, “Italmas” type, UAV simulators of the “Parody” type from Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, which are in Russia and from the Donetsk and Gvardiysky TOTs to the Crimea TOT.
As of 08:30 on May 18, aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine managed to shoot down or neutralize 507 targets, including 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles and 503 enemy UAVs of various types.
At the same time, 18 missiles were recorded hitting 16 attack drones at 34 locations. Debris fell on another 11.

Where have explosions occurred recently, what are the consequences?
On the night of May 18, a series of explosions thundered in Odessa – strike drones were flying over the city, there was a ballistic threat. As of now, it is known that the strike targets hit residential buildings, and a lyceum and kindergarten building were also damaged. In two districts of the city, the housing stock was damaged as a result of the attack. Four apartment buildings and 22 private houses were damaged. Two victims are known.
It was also noisy that night in the Dnipropetrovsk region and in the Dnipro. The region was attacked by strike drones and ballistic missiles. As a result of the attack, the roof of a high-rise building and a room where pyrotechnic products were stored caught fire. The fire was successfully extinguished by rescuers. At the same time, enemy missiles hit a residential building – people were trapped in one of the houses. As of now, 18 people are known to have been injured, among them two children aged 2 and 10. 8 people have been hospitalized.
At around 3 a.m., explosions were heard in Rivne. Some of the drones were trying to break through to Western Ukraine. There is currently no information about the consequences of the attack.
