The digitalization of government services is also coming to the field of meteorology, offering users a new tool for monitoring natural phenomena. Instead of the usual aggregators, which often use averaged data, it will soon be possible to receive information directly from the original source. This will change the approach to planning everyday life and increase the level of safety of citizens.
What is special about the new “tsePogoda” service?
The Ukrhydrometeorological Center, which operates within the structure of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, has officially announced the launch of its first mobile application called “tsePogoda”. This release was a response to the public's request to receive the most accurate and timely information directly from specialists responsible for the country's meteorological security, writes 24 Kanal .
Representatives of the agency emphasized that the key advantage of the platform is the absence of any intermediaries or third-party interpretations. Users will receive only verified information and official warnings about dangerous or natural phenomena from experts who provide meteorological support to the state.

The software product is based on complex mathematical calculations provided by leading European forecasting centers. However, unlike many global applications, this data is not simply transmitted automatically, but undergoes additional professional analysis and adaptation by Ukrainian forecasters.
The State Emergency Service noted that this approach guarantees accuracy, professionalism, and high responsibility for each update. The creation of the service was made possible thanks to international cooperation, in particular within the framework of a joint project with the Finnish Meteorological Institute.

The functionality of the “tsePogoda” application is designed to meet the needs of both ordinary citizens and professionals:
- Users are offered a detailed hourly and daily forecast for a period of up to 5 days, reports the website of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
- For those who plan their schedule for a longer period, a calculated forecast for 6-9 days is provided, which is of a consultative nature.
- In addition, the program is able to automatically determine the user's location to provide the most relevant data and offers interactive maps for visual weather monitoring.

The application is already available for download on major mobile platforms – Google Play and App Store. It is currently in test mode, which will last for 3 months.
