Shines like new – a simple trick to quickly clean stainless steel dishes to a shine

I have a lot of stainless steel dishes. So I already know how to clean them. I want to tell you how to make them shine and remove carbon deposits and soot.
The method is very simple, I don't use any chemicals. The ingredients can be found in every kitchen. These are citric acid and mustard powder, informs Ukr.Media.
Important! You need to work with gloves, as citric acid dries the skin of your hands.
- Pour 1 tablespoon each of citric acid and mustard powder into a bowl.
- A small amount of water should be added to this dry mixture. The consistency should be easy to apply to the surface.
Citric acid is a weak organic acid that is well known for its cleaning properties. It helps dissolve grease, limescale, water stains, and rust. It can really help remove carbon deposits and soot, especially if they are not too old.
Mustard powder – acts as a mild abrasive. It helps mechanically remove dirt by polishing the surface. Mustard also has some degreasing properties.
And we will apply our gruel using a hard sponge.
Leave the product for 5-10 minutes, and then use the same sponge to clean the pan or other stainless steel kitchen utensils. After cleaning the dishes, they need to be rinsed with water.
Yes, of course, it is worth the effort and scrubbing the dishes well. But the result is worth it. The dishes will simply shine.
If there is any product left, you can use it to clean the sink and faucet. Everything is washed very well. I like the product for its effectiveness and the fact that it has no odor.
I think it will be especially popular with those who, for some reason, like me, refuse aggressive chemical cleaning products.
For fresh carbon deposits and soot, this method will likely be quite effective. For very old or heavy carbon deposits, more effort, repeated applications, or perhaps more aggressive methods may be required.
