Samsung is preparing to release another addition to its popular smartphone lineup that may make owners of the most expensive flagships feel a little envious. While the focus is usually on premium devices, the upcoming release proves that real endurance records are often set in the budget segment.
Which smartphone will get a better battery than flagships?
While premium models like the Galaxy S26 Ultra are limited to a 5,000 mAh battery, the affordable Galaxy M17e will feature a 6,000 mAh battery. The device is expected to make its official debut on March 17, 2026, PhoneArena reports.
According to leaks, the Galaxy M17e model will largely repeat the characteristics of the Galaxy A07 5G, which is considered the company's most basic device this year.
The device is primarily aimed at the Indian market, where it will appear on the Amazon India platform at a price of less than 14,000 Indian rupees, which is about $153 in direct terms. But it should also be expected in other markets, including Ukraine, where the M line is also sold.
Users will be offered two body color options: “Blitz Blue” and “Vibe Violet”.
The technical equipment of the smartphone corresponds to its positioning:
- The front panel will feature a large 6.7-inch display with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hertz, writes GSMArena.
- The screen design has a cutout for the 8-megapixel front camera, as well as quite noticeable bezels, which is quite typical for the entry-level segment.

The energy-efficient MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset will be responsible for performance. Although this processor is not designed for high performance in games, it should provide excellent battery life paired with a massive battery.
The main camera unit will include a 50-megapixel main sensor and an additional 2-megapixel depth sensor.
One of the new phone's strongest points will be its software. The smartphone will come with One UI 8 and will receive a record six years of Android operating system support and security updates for its class.
Experts predict that thanks to the combination of price and specifications, the Galaxy M17e has every chance of entering the top ten best-selling Android smartphones in the world by the end of the year.
