Samsung has unveiled a limited edition Galaxy Flip7 foldable smartphone, created specifically for the Milan and Cortina Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. The device features a unique design, a set of services for athletes, and will be available exclusively to participants in the competition.
What makes the Galaxy Flip7 Olympic Edition stand out?
The special version of the Galaxy Flip7 is designed as a personal digital tool for Olympians and Paralympians who will compete at the Winter Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo from February 4 to 22, 2026. In total, Samsung will give almost 3,800 smartphones to athletes from approximately 90 countries, which automatically makes this model one of the rarest in the Galaxy series, writes SamMobile.
The Galaxy Flip7 Olympic Edition smartphone is visually unique. The back panel has a signature blue color, which Samsung associates with the Milan-Cortina 2026 style and Italian blue. The metal frame, hinge and camera bezels are made in gold – a symbol of the desire for victory and podium results. The kit includes a transparent magnetic case with a blue ring and gold laurel wreaths, referring to classic Olympic motifs.

In addition to the design, the smartphone has received special software content. The device comes pre-installed with exclusive wallpapers created specifically for Milan-Cortina 2026, as well as a set of applications and services for everyday life in the Olympic Village and during the competitions. Among them are the Galaxy Athlete Card for digital exchange of profiles between athletes, Athlete365 with support for physical and mental condition, the official Olympic Games application, IOC Hotline and PinQuest.
Samsung has also integrated Athlete365 into the Now Brief feature so athletes can quickly access important information directly on the external FlexWindow screen. For connectivity, each Galaxy Flip7 Olympic Edition comes with an eSIM that includes 100GB of 5G mobile data, Samsung says on its website.

Functionally, the smartphone corresponds to the flagship level of the Flip series. It is equipped with a dual main camera with a 50-megapixel wide-angle module and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, supports Galaxy AI tools for photo editing, real-time translation without a network connection, and dual recording mode for simultaneous shooting on the front and main cameras. A special emphasis is placed on the ability to capture victorious selfies directly from the podium – this feature first appeared at the Paris 2024 Olympics and will now be expanded, including to team sports.

Distribution of the Galaxy Flip7 Olympic Edition will start on January 30 in the Olympic Villages of six cities, GSMArena writes. This version will not be officially sold to ordinary buyers, so after the Games, smartphones can traditionally appear only on the secondary market.
