A general cleaning of the microwave should be carried out at least once a week. The frequency depends on how actively it is used.

A home where the device is turned on several times a day and an office where employees take turns heating up lunch are different situations.

In the first case, a monthly deep cleaning is sufficient, in the second case, a weekly one.

Pay special attention to situations where the contents of the plate spill or explode.

Even if the stain seems invisible, it is better to remove it immediately. Forgotten drops can become a source of an unpleasant odor that will permeate not only the equipment, but also the food.

A simple life hack: put a cup of water and lemon juice inside, turn it on for a few minutes – the steam will soften the dirt and make it easier to wipe off.
