Will discuss a potential fight with Usyk against the interim WBC champion: when and where it could take place

The head of the General Directorate of Entertainment in Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheikh, will discuss with Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk a potential fight with interim WBC champion Agit Kabayel, The Ring reports.

The fight against Caballe could take place if Usyk defeats Dutchman Rico Verhoeven in the championship bout on May 23.

The fight will be discussed in the second half of 2026. It is planned that the fight will be a home fight for Caballe – it will be organized in Germany, where Usyk last boxed in 2017.

Undefeated Caballe (27-0, 19 KOs) has held the WBC interim heavyweight title since 2025, which guarantees him the right to fight the main title holder, Oleksandr Usyk.

Caballe has already fought in 2026: in January, he defeated Damian Knyba by technical knockout in the third round and defended the title of interim world champion according to the WBC version. In total, the German ended his last six fights with early victories.
